What is a physical disability?

- The annual cost of bringing up a disabled child is 3 times greater than that of bringing up a non-disabled child
- 40% of disabled children in the UK live in poverty
- Disabled 16-18 year olds are twice as likely to become NEET (not be in education, employment or training)
- 10% of disabled young people aged 12-20 in the UK have experiences bullying due to other people’s attitudes towards their disability
